MAKE LIFE GOOD, GO FISHING.
About Me
My Story
The Life Of A Fisherman
My name is Mark Przybysz. I am located in Northern Illinois and fishing is my life! I was born into an immigrant, blue-collar family and was introduced to fishing at an early age by my grandfather.
I have fond memories of fishing with him on the banks of the Kankakee river. We fished for any species that would take bait, like worms, corn and even kielbasa. It was substantiate fishing for my grandfather, and I was along for the ride. I hold those childhood memories dear to my heart.
Through my younger years, I fished on and off. Life was busy but, now (in my later years) I have become consumed with everything fishing. I fish for anything that swims with my main targets being catfish and crappie.
When I’m not fishing, I am watching fishing, reading about fishing and listening to podcasts about fishing. I am consumed by it and want more! Looking to expand on the sport, I had the idea of putting record of it on YouTube. I couldn’t think of a name, so I decided to keep it simple and name it after the fish that keep me awake at night. “Catfish and Crappie” was born and it’s been a wild ride!
Since starting the brand, it’s grown more then I ever expected. My fishing opportunities have opened up beyond my wildest dreams. I have fished places I never thought I would have, met some of the anglers I’ve looked up to and talked to countless anglers exponentially better than me. It’s been a learning and humbling experience to say the least.
I do a weekly fishing podcast live on YouTube, Podcasts available on all the platforms, I do fishing videos, gear reviews, host online tournaments and ever fish while streaming! So here I am building a website to grow even more!
Make sure to check out my merch or if you like the content and want to help support “Catfish and Crappie” please check out the support page. If you are looking to hire me for your event or become a sponsor, please take a look at the “Press Kit” Page on the site too.
My passion for fishing runs deeper then the waters I fish. So come along with me on my journey, living “The Life Of A Fisherman”…
